Who is Tara?

Everyone asks. She’s a female diety in many traditions around the world. White Tara is the peaceful and compassionate goddess who protects and brings health, long life and peace. Green Tara brings fertility to earth, overcomes obstacles and saves us from physical and spiritual danger. To Buddhists, she is a female Buddha, enlightened, wise and compassionate. She seemed a good guide for me on this journey to India.
